Loving sister & friend of many. Lost her fight with Cancer on 3rd March 1990.
I miss her so much . Born in County Down in 1925 , She met Eddie (my dad ) in 1940 , they married in 1945. Came over too Edinburgh Scotland where they settled and had 3 children. Sadly dad passed away in 1983 . Mum was lost after 43yrs together , she had lost the love of her life. She worked hard too provide for her family. She never had or asked for much the love of all her family was all she needed , and boy did we love her.
Christmas was always a great time she loved watching the grandchildren opening their presents. Christmas 1989 approached . Mum had been feeling a bit tierd so i got the Doctor who sent her for a full medical. My whole world fell apart that day 18th Dec ( Phyllis birthday ) when the Specialist at the hospital took me aside and told me mum had Cancer. He said she only had about 3 months left , i remember coming out of the Doctors office and you asking what he wanted too see me about. I made up something silly , you thought u had TB u had had it years before. I just let u think that i couldn't tell you the truth. True too his word 3 months later on the 3rd March 1990 i lay down beside you and held u until u finally took your last breath. xx
